Celebrations and Dedications

Revisit 2021 teachings with Geshe Tenzin Zopa at CTCT celebrating this auspicious occasion - Recitations of Sutra Remembering the Three Jewels

November also is the month of the auspicious day of Lhabab Duchen November 15 which celebrates Guru Shakyamuni Buddha’s return to the Earth from the God-Realm of the Thirty-Three after teaching the Dharma for several months to the Gods, including his mother, Mayadevi, who died a week after Buddha’s birth and had been reborn in this realm. Due to Lhabab Duchen being a merit-multiplying day, the karmic results of especially virtuous actions done on this day are multiplied 100 million times. A beneficial time to dedicate your practice of reciting the Heart Sutra or writing activity in gold

Practice Advice

This month we also offer you an opportunity to learn all about Preliminary  Practices - what they are, their purpose and benefits and why Lama Zopa Rinpoche gives these practices to students, and how to get started - to pursue in your leisure - your queries can be emailed to
