Our Vision

A Meditation Centre offering opportunities for introduction to Buddhism, study, regular group retreat program and use of supported individual retreat facilities in a conducive environment for people all over the world who wish to integrate the teachings of the FPMT lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and or experience a retreat lifestyle.

Our History

Chag Tong Chen Tong Tibetan Buddhist Centre is affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition FPMT http://www.fpmt.org/

An organization devoted to the transmission of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition and values worldwide through teaching, meditation and community service.

Our organization is based on the Buddhist tradition of Lama Tsongkhapa of Tibet as taught to us by our founder, Lama Thubten Yeshe and our spiritual director,  Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche.

Chag Tong Chen Tong Centre welcomes everyone in search of methods to develop the good heart, a meaningful happy life, of any age or any cultural background, with a  wish to engage within a harmonious and supportive community of like-minded friends and practitioners.

Lama Yeshe Vision

"Why have we established the FPMT? Why are we establishing these facilities all over the world? I think we are clean clear as to our aim - we want to lead sentient beings to higher education. We are an organization that gives people the chance to receive higher education. We offer people what we have: the combined knowledge of Buddha's teachings and the modern way of life. Our purpose is to share our experiences of this.
